| Don't miss a spectacular butterfly exhibit opening Memorial Weekend, Saturday, May 29. Running until August 8, the temporary butterfly exhibit will feature a gorgeous selection of plants amid the background of flying butterflies. The butterfly house, which has featured three other temporary butterfly exhibits since opening in March of 2005, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. This year moths will be featured, and the exhibit will showcase the amazing life cycle of the butterfly from caterpillar to pupae to its emergence as an elegant winged creature. Included with the exhibit will be a scavenger hunt and information on how the butterfly is connected to a multitude of life cycles within Florida's many habitats. |
